Watershed Science & Engineering Academy for High School Students July 6-10Posted on June 8, 2015
The Watershed Academy is a new week-long summer program for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students interested in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
July 6-10, 2015 | 9AM-3PM
Scientists, municipal engineers, city planners, and other environmental professionals will lead a small group of 10 students in the study of stormwater. Students will identify problems associated with stormwater runoff, investigate management solutions to address these problems, and develop their own green infrastructure designs to present to a panel of experts at the end of the week.
The Watershed Academy is a new program that will utilize the space and sustainable features of our new LEED Platinum-certified Watershed Center for Environmental Advocacy, Science and Education. Students will spend time in the classroom, laboratory, and the outdoors, with field trips and activities on the Reserve planned each day.
