Build Your Own Rainbarrel at Home Workshop July 25Posted on July 10, 2020
Did you know that rainbarrels can save you water use around the yard, reduce your water bill, AND help recharge our aquifers? Join The Watershed
Institute and Montgomery Township Saturday, July 25 from 10AM to 12 noon for a virtual Rainbarrel Building Workshop!
The rainbarrels are real but you assemble at home with easy-to-follow remote assistance. Learn about rainwater harvesting and water quality in NJ, how installing a rain barrel helps protect water quality, and other ‘river-friendly’ actions you can implement at home!
We will provide you with the materials and an instructor to build a rain barrel at home! This event is planned for the convenience of the Montgomery community. You pick up the rain barrel kit the week before and build the barrel at your home with the help of a live instructor (or later by recorded video)!
This event is underwritten by the Montgomery Township Environmental Commission/Sustainable Montgomery at a reduced rate of only $45 for all materials and class. Pick-up is outside at Watershed on either Wednesday, 7/22 from 9-11 AM or Thursday, 7/23 from 4-6 PM.
