Virtual Community Forum Focuses on NJ Utility Payment Assistance
On Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 11 a.m., the NJ Board of Public Utilities, the NJ Department of Community Affairs, and their partnering organizations will share information on how residential utility customers can obtain grants on energy, heating and water bills, including opportunities available before and after the statewide moratorium on utility disconnections ends on June 30th.
New Jersey’s utility assistance programs include the following, which include programs for moderate income households:
Such initiatives include:
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP)
- Universal Service Fund (USF)
- Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric (PAGE)
- Winter Termination Program
- NJ SHARES
