The History of U.S. Presidential Elections & NJ – Nov. 3rd

On Nov. 3rd at 7 pm., Van Harlingen Historical Society will present Brian Armstrong, the President of the South River Historical & Preservation Society speaking on “The History of US brianarmstrong_vhhsprgmPresidential Elections and New Jersey.” Mr. Armstrong, BA in Political Science and History from the American University, will discuss the history of US Presidential elections and how New Jersey voted.  His emphasis will be all elections from 1912 to the present discussing the candidates, the issues, the campaigns, and the results.  Armstrong is a collector of US presidential election memorabilia and will bring some of his favorite campaign buttons and other items to the presentation.
