Back by popular demand, the Summer Sounds outdoor concert series will return to Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s Mary Jacobs Memorial Library branch, located at 64 Washington Street in Rocky Hill, every Tuesday through August 2. All shows begin promptly at 6:30 pm on the lawn behind the library and are made possible by The Friends of the Mary Jacobs Library. No registration is required but it is helpful to the library (see links below).
“This is the fourth year for Summer Sounds and we are really excited to continue to offer the public these free, open air concerts,” said Cynthia Lambert, an adult services librarian at SCLSNJ’s Mary Jacobs Memorial Library branch.
Here is the upcoming schedule of bands:
Tuesday, July 19th – The Professors
Tuesday, July 26th – The Ballycastle Band
Tuesday, August 2nd – Acoustic Road
In the event of rain, shows will be moved inside SCLSNJ’s Mary Jacobs Memorial Library branch. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided. Lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and dancing are encouraged. For more information or to register to attend, visit SCLSNJ.org or call 609-924-7073.
