Suffragettes & Spring Tea May 9thPosted on April 7, 2015
Mark your calendars and come celebrate all women on Mother’s Day weekend! Saturday, May 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM is the date and time for the Montgomery Woman’s Club Spring Tea.
The event will take place this year at the restored Van Zandt House, which is the new offices of SAVE – A Friend to Homeless Animals, 1011 Rt. 601 in Skillman, just south of Montgomery High School. The restoration of the Van Zandt Mansion earned the New Jersey’s 2014 Historic Preservation Award.
A special performance by Alisa Dupuy will bring to life the history of the suffragettes and women’s right to vote.
Join other mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends as you tour the new center for rescued animals and the renovated early 1900’s Van Zandt house, and enjoy a delicious high tea, cookies, sandwiches, and fruit!
Tickets are $20 each, and are now on sale. Proceeds from this event will go towards Woman’s Club scholarships for Montgomery High School students. A percentage of ticket sales will benefit SAVE.
For tickets and more information, please contact the Woman’s Club at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Stacy Ladyman at 609-333-0797. Tickets also available at Lili B’s and Village Shoes in the Village Shopper across from ShopRite.
