Somerset County Postpones COVID Vaccine Clinic Due To Snow, Other County Closures

Somerset County is postponing its COVID vaccination clinic for Thursday at Raritan Valley Community College due to the incoming winter storm.

All appointments are rescheduled to the same time on Saturday. For questions, call 908-231-7155.

In addition, Governor Phil Murphy said the winter weather is causing COVID vaccine “supply chain issues” and that anticipated deliveries will be delayed. He also said three vaccine mega-centers will close on Thursday: Morris, Middlesex and Burington. Bergen County’s center will close at 10 a.m.

Somerset County-Operated Senior Wellness Centers Suspend Meals on Wheels Feb. 18

Due to the impending storm, Meals on Wheels deliveries are canceled Feb. 18. Clients are encouraged to use the frozen meals or the shelf-stable meals that were delivered earlier in the season.

The Office on Aging & Disability Services, located at 27 Warren St., Somerville, is closed to walk ins and will not be providing curbside assistance on Thursday, Feb. 18. Clients and caregivers who need assistance can call 908-704-6346 or toll-free at 1-888-747-1122 and leave a brief message with a name, address, and phone number and staff will return calls as soon as possible.

Zoom programs will be available according to the program schedule.
