Scenes from the Montgomery Independence Day Celebration & FireworksPosted on July 6, 2015
Another perfect summer night, another great community event in Montgomery Township, New Jersey!

The crowd was in high spirits at this year’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks July 1st. The kids loved the games, treats, or just playing chase in the field. The band, Pi Fight, played gutsy versions of all the classic favorites. The burgers and kettlecorn were excellent as always! Mayor Christine Madrid said a few words of welcome, with the help of her adorable little son. The Star Spangled Banner gave us chills and made our hearts swell. And it was all topped off by one of the best fireworks displays and grand finales ever! People watched for miles around. Every year is great and every year tops the year before. How do they do this?
Special thanks to Chairman George Jarvis and the Montgomery Fireworks Fundraising Committee (Donna Castonovo, Frank Drift, Matt Galvin and Cynthia Weshnak) and Recreation Director Karen Zimmerman. Thank you to everyone who joined together and those who worked so hard to make July 1, 2015 a truly great night in Montgomery! Thanks most of all to the many corporate and individual event sponsors, listed at www.montgomeryfireworks.com – this special night could not have happened without you!
Happy Birthday America! See everyone next year. Check back to www.montgomeryfireworks.org or sign up for ebulletin announcement at right for 2016 date announcement!
