Replacement of County Bridge No. D0303, Rt. 601 over Back Brook north of Grandview
The Belle Mead-Blawenburg Road (CR 601) Bridge, located approximately 500 feet north of the intersection of Grandview Road and 0.8 mile south of West Dutchtown Harlingen Road (CR 604), was fully closed to vehicular and pedestrian/bicycle traffic on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 8:45am. The duration of this road closure will be 4 weeks for completion of all construction work as one continuous operation. Daily lane closures after the new bridge is installed will no longer be required. The Project Location Map can be viewed here.

This project’s construction contract was awarded to Assuncao Brothers, Inc. on June 25, 2019. The Pre-Construction Meeting will be scheduled in early 2020, as construction will not commence until April 2020.
A detour route will be posted along Belle Mead-Blawenburg Road (CR 601), Route 206, and Georgetown-Franklin Turnpike (CR 518). Local access will still be maintained. The revised Detour Plan can be viewed here.
