Roadwork on Rt. 601 Starts Later This Week

Somerset County has announced construction on CR601 Belle Meade-Blawenburg Road in Montgomery from 700’ West of Route 206 to Grandview Road.  This work will be performed during the working hours of 8:00pm-5:30am and will consist of approximately 4 working nights, starting later this week.  The road will be closed to thru traffic and a detour in effect during the slurry seal operations only.  Following the completion of this construction work, the final thermoplastic striping will take place approximately two weeks after construction.

Construction Working Hours 8:00PM-5:30AM

Thur 9/3- Fri 9/4– Removal of existing thermoplastic striping and striping of temporary latex paint

Tues 9/8 – Wed 9/9 – Slurry Seal construction over existing roadway and stripe temporary striping

 

TBD– Final thermoplastic striping of new traffic pattern
