Early Morning Burglar?
The Montgomery Township Police Department is requesting assistance from the community in identifying the male pictured in the photo at right.
He is suspected of burglarizing an unoccupied home within the Township at around 3 AM, August 24, 2018.
The home had recently been sold and a moving company had removed most of the belongings and placed them in storage. However, some items of value were left behind and were to be collected by the homeowner at a later date.
The home was not occupied at the time that this male showed up. His image was captured by a “Ring” doorbell camera and it appears the male rang the doorbell which activated the camera.
No similar incidents have been reported in this community, or any nearby town.
-Residents are reminded to keep items of value secured or remove them from the home prior to having any moving company personnel in the home.
-Always lock the home.
-Consider installing a surveillance system.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the Montgomery Township Police Investigations Division at (908) 359-3222.
Note: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation and that defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
