Newest Police Officer Colleen Murphy Sworn In

Colleen D. Murphy was appointed the newest Montgomery Township Police Officer at the June 20th meeting of the Montgomery Township Committee.  She received a warm welcome and congratulations from the entire Montgomery Twp. Committee and Montgomery Police Department.

By way of background, Ms. Murphy is a 2013 graduate of Hamilton High School and a 2017 graduate of West Chester University where she received her bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice.  She has also worked as an intern for the Mercer County Prosecutors Office. She entered into Mercer County Police Academy as an Alternate Route Applicant in January 2019 and is set to graduate on 7/18/2019. Her father, who proudly placed the shield on her lapel at the swearing in ceremony, is a retired Hamilton Township Police Officer Her uncle still works as an officer in Hamilton. Murphy will immediately enter the four-month Field Training Officer Program in Montgomery after academy graduation.
