Montgomery Speaks Out Against Racism: A Virtual Gathering Via Zoom

Posted on June 5, 2020

Saturday, June 6th at 8pm with a Candle Lighting Ceremony at 8:46pm

You are invited to join a community event to show your solidarity with the protests, vigils, and marches which have arisen in response to the tragic killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police and the anger, frustration, and despair experienced due to the continued racial injustice and violence in our country.

We will be meeting through the digital meeting program called Zoom beginning at 8pm. During the event, speakers will share words, poems, prayers, and songs. At 8:46pm we will conclude with a candlelight vigil for 8 minutes and 46 seconds to remember George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and all those who have lost their lives to racist violence.

If you would like to speak please email

This is a virtual gathering and all are encouraged to attend. If you are not interested or able to attend the entire event, we encourage you to participate in the vigil at 8:46pm.
