Winter Storm Alert: No street parking, municipal offices closed 2/1, be prepared

Posted on January 31, 2021

A powerful nor’easter with heavy snow and high winds is impacting the east coast. Local forecasts are calling for freezing temperatures, gusty winds, reduced visibility, and snow accumulations of 8 to 15 inches in the next 48 hours.  Governor Murphy has declared a state of emergency effective 7 PM tonight (Sunday).

All Montgomery Township municipal offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 1 for the safety of the public and of our staff during the storm event.  We will announce the opening or closing of Township offices for Tuesday, February 2 by tomorrow, based upon projected weather and road conditions.

Montgomery Township has an ordinance which strictly prohibits parking on street during snow emergencies.  For information about Montgomery Township’s road plowing program, go to Montgomery Public Work’s Seasonal Notice – Winter  webpage.
