All are invited to “Montgomery Give Thanks!”, an interfaith Thanksgiving service for the wider-Montgomery area, on Tuesday, November 21st at 7:30pm. The event will be hosted at the Blawenburg Reformed Church in Skillman NJ.

The organizers hope to provide a space for our diverse community to gather together and express gratitude for our lives and the blessings in our lives. The service will include prayers, songs, and messages from local religious leaders. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow in the church hall.

Speakers for the evening will include, Rabbi Susan L. Falk who serves Congregation Kehilat Shalom in Belle Mead; Reverend Tony J. Godlefski who is the minister of the Montgomery United Methodist Church; and Saffet A. Catovic who is an Imam and Muslim Chaplain at Drew University in Madison, NJ. Each will share about the importance of “thanksgiving” in their traditions.  Special music will be offered by the choir of The Mother of God Orthodox Church (located on Cherry Hill Road) and musicians from Congregation Kehilat Shalom and the Blawenburg Church. Reverend Jeff Knol from Blawenburg Church and Father Peter Baktis from the Mother of God Orthodox Church will also participate in the service.

The Blawenburg Church is located at 424 Route 518, Skillman, NJ 08558.
