**No Fireworks Field Parking; Free Shuttle from UMS**

Due to wet field conditions, there will be no parking tonight in the field adjacent to the Otto Kaufman Community Center on Skillman Road for the Montgomery Fireworks. We have arranged for shuttle buses to run continuously from the Upper Middle School to Montgomery High School and back starting at 5:30 pm until after the fireworks end. Food vendors, games & activities begin at 6 pm.  Band “Pi Fight” at 7 pm.  Spectacular fireworks at dusk!  Come out & enjoy the night!

We encourage you to take advantage of the free parking at UMS and the shuttle service provided.  The Upper Middle School is located at 375 Burnt Hill Rd., Skillman.  There will also be free parking available in the parking lot behind the high school and limited parking along Main Blvd. in Skillman Park. Park on pavement or gravel only and please respect our amazing new Somerset County Park.

Thank you for your patience with this change.  It is in the best interest of the Montgomery community as it will prevent vehicles getting stuck and needing towing.

Reminder: This is a no pets, no alcohol event. Picnicking welcome. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Thank you!”

There will be lots of fun for the whole community on the front lawn of Montgomery High School, 1016 Rt. 601 in Skillman on July 1st! Starting at 6 pm there are games and vendors including grilled foods, drinks, and the ever-popular kettle corn. Get there early to get a great picnic spot under the stars!

Limited Priority Parking passes in the high school parking lots are still available ONLY IN PERSON for $15, cash or personal check, at the Otto Kaufman Community Center, 356 Skillman Road, Skillman, NJ 08558. The Community Center will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday – Friday through July 1st. Call (609) 466-3023.

The local band, “Pi Fight”, will be playing at 7:00 pm. After the Star Spangled Banner, at dusk (approx. 9:15 pm), get ready for a fabulous display of fireworks, sure to bring out the kid in everyone!

Please be kind to your pets and leave them safely at home! Reminder that this is an all-age alcohol-free event on public school property. Picnics are welcome!

We wish to express much gratitude to Chairman George Jarvis and the Fireworks Fundraising Committee (Donna Castonovo, Frank Drift, Matt Galvin and Cynthia Weshnak) and Recreation Director Karen Zimmerman who have worked extremely hard to see the Independence Day Celebration tradition continue in Montgomery Township.
