June 6th Blood Drive in memory of Ed Nusbaum

Posted on June 5, 2015

Montgomery EMS (MEMS) is dedicating their June Blood Drive to honor the memory of a friend of the squad, Edwin J. Nusbaum of Montgomery, N.J. Ed passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was a devoted husband and father of 2 sons, a good friend to many, and a dedicated volunteer and longtime member of the Montgomery Twp. community.

Ed was an early member of Montgomery EMS, he joined together with his father Harvey and brother Richard serving from 1977 to 1984. During that time Ed served first as a cadet and later a full member and CPR instructor. More recently Ed continued to help others as a champion of scouting. Ed served as a Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, and was indispensable in the activities of Troop 46 of Montgomery Township. He also held a license as an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator, and was a lover of all things technical. Ed will be remembered as someone who was the first to offer to help and last to ask for it, who either knew the answer or would find it, and who was always able to bring out the best in those around him.
