Hometown Show April 26 to Raise Money for First Responders

Posted on April 8, 2019

The Montgomery News presents toth in concert at Thomas Sweet Cafe in the Montgomery Shopping Center (by Montgomery Cinemas and ShopRite).  Rocky Hill’s own toth will perform a very special show on Friday April 26th to raise money for the volunteer fire departments of Rocky Hill and Montgomery Township.

toth is a three-man band from Rocky Hill, made up of Mike V (vocals, harmonica), Mike M (vocals, ukulele, guitar), and Professor G (lead guitar).  The band has been playing together since 2016, performing an eclectic mix of original songs and covers of their favorite indie rock, alt-country and classic rock artists like Counting Crows, Lucero, Pearl Jam, Frank Turner, and a whole lot of Tom Petty. In fact, the idea for the band started with Mike V’s burning desire to form a Tom Petty tribute band, but the three musicians ultimately decided to play a more diverse range of tunes. In addition to rehearsing for upcoming appearances, the band stay busy collaboratively writing songs to add to their ever-expanding repertoire.

You can find photos, videos, and information about upcoming tothshows on their website, www.tothmusic.com, or on their Facebook, YouTube and Instagram pages (all with the handle @tothmusic). This special fundraiser at Thomas Sweet Café will be the band’s first appearance in Skillman. In a statement, the band said “We are happy to participate in an event that brings the people of our community together with the universal language of music in support of the local firefighters.”
