Free Smoke Alarms Available

Montgomery Township Bureau of Fire Prevention in conjunction with the NJ Division of Fire Safety wants all our residents to be fire-safe all year long. So to make that happen, we are offering free of charge to any township resident a NEW 10 year battery operated smoke alarm. All you need to do is come down to the Fire Prevention office, which is located in the municipal building, fill out a short form and the Fire Prevention staff will be happy to supply you with the alarm. If you live in a house with interconnected smoke alarms, these new alarms DO NOT replace those you currently have, they are simply a supplement to your existing coverage. Any questions that you have can be answered by the Fire Inspectors.
