No Prescription Needed, But Registration Is Required

The Somerset County Department of Health (SCDOH)will sponsor a COVID-19 testing at the North Plainfield Fire Department, located at 8 Lincoln Place, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22. The clinic is the second in a series of mobile clinics planned by the SCDOH to expand testing as vaccinations continue to be distributed.

“We’re very excited to bring mobile COVID testing to North Plainfield and encourage everyone who can come down to the Fire Department to register and get their free test,” said Commissioner Doug Singleterry, liaison to the SCDOH. “Extensive testing combined with the vaccine distribution program will help us to beat the pandemic and move our communities forward.”

Testing is simple and free at the Somerset County mobile COVID testing sites. The next site is in North Plainfield on Friday, January 22, 2021.

Residents need to make an appointment and have a valid form of identification to access the testing center. Appointments can be scheduled online at https://covid19.clarity-laboratory.com/.
