The following resolution was presented by the Montgomery Twp. Committee on 4/18/19 & 5/02/19 to five extraordinary Montgomery firefighters, each with over 50 years of service to the community! The honorees were (alphabetically): Art Parsell of Company #2, Eric Perkins of Company #2, Dan Pullen of Company #1, Peter Schmidke of Company #1, and Donald Thiel of Company #2, . RESOLUTION HONORING FIREFIGHTER WITH 50 OR MORE YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, A community possesses no greater treasure than the dedicated service of its volunteers; and
WHEREAS, this firefighter has rendered to the citizens and residents of Montgomery over 50 years of uninterrupted service as a member of Fire Company #1 or #2; and
WHEREAS, During his years of faithful service he has earned the admiration and respect of all who have come to know him, as he performed countless hours of selfless service towards the safety, health and well-being of the residents of Montgomery; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Montgomery Township Committee hereby recognizes the dedicated, selfless contribution of time and talent made by this fightfighter and extends its sincere gratitude and best wishes on behalf of the citizens of Montgomery Township on this 2nd day of May, 2019.
