Fire Co. #2 Wetdown Celebration Sat July 26th – RT. 518 ROAD CLOSURE/TRAFFIC DIVERSION

Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company #2 will dedicate their new Engine 46-107 E-One Cyclone II CAFS Pumper with a wetdown celebration on July 26th.  A “wetdown” is a celebration when a Fire Department purchases a piece of new equipment and neighboring Fire Departments vy in good fun for first dibs to hose down the new apparatus.  The day will include the following events, open to residents:

10 am to 12 pm:       Apparatus Judging at Montgomery High School, 1016 Route 601, Skillman
                                      (There will be awards for Best Appearing Engine, Tower, Rescue,
                                      Company & Furthest Traveled)

12 pm:                          Motorcade Thru District 2 ending at Station 46, 529 Rt.518,Blawenburg

IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NOTICE: Due to the apparatus motorcade and a road closure, County Route 518 will be closed to vehicular traffic between Wild Azalea Lane and Burnt Hill Rd. from noon until about 2pm.  Traffic will be diverted down Wild Azalea and Burnt Hill Rd. using Covenhoven and Schoolhouse Corner Roads for the detour.
