Notice Is Hereby Given that sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Agent of the Township of Montgomery on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM local prevailing time in the Montgomery Township Council Chambers, Room 118A, 100 Community Drive, Skillman NJ 08558 at which time bids will be opened and read in public for:
Mill Pond Boardwalk Rehabilitation Phase 2
Project Description
The Township of Montgomery is accepting bids for the Mill Pond Boardwalk Rehabilitation Phase 2 project which continues repairs previously undertaken to an existing pedestrian boardwalk along Mill Pond off of Dead Tree Run Road. The scope includes replacing the entire superstructure of the boardwalk in certain separate or adjoining 12-foot span sections using new pressure-treated timber components, stainless steel hardware, and composite wood-plastic decking on existing footings, where directed, with the intention to match work previously completed in 2021. Miscellaneous components of the boardwalk, including but not limited to timber edge curbing or railing pieces, may be replaced under the Allowance item in accordance with the plan details. Other incidental work includes installing work zone protection and signage, minor vegetative pruning, disassembling sections of the existing boardwalk, proper disposal of waste materials, restoration of disturbed areas, and cleanup.
