Earth Day Fair ’21 on Sunday, April 25

Posted on April 16, 2021

For 2021, in order to celebrate Earth Day safely while the pandemic is still a concern, the Montgomery Township  Environmental Commission is hosting a drive-thru style event where residents can pick up free environmentally friendly items including:  LED lightbulbs (donated by IMPACT Youth Club), milkweed plants, and tree seedlings. No registration is required.  Please join us!

DATE: Sunday April 25, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM

PLACE: Village Elementary School/Skillman Park (100 Main Boulevard, Skillman)

CARE FOR YOUR CORNER OF THE EARTH WITH MILKWEED PLANTS!

Milkweed plants are particularly important for the Monarch Butterfly population; milkweed is the sole food source for caterpillars, but serves as a food source for hundreds of other insects & pollinators.  Plant your milkweed in a location with full sun, and water it regularly.  More care instructions can be found here.
