Safe Communities YOUth Coalition Presents PSA/Billboard Drug Prevention Contest
The Safe Communities YOUth Coalition is currently hosting a PSA/Billboard Drug Prevention Contest. Somerset County students in grades 9 through 12 are invited to enter by making a 30 second to 1 minute video or by creating a billboard image. Entries should focus on one of two topics: 1) Preventing underage drinking or 2) Preventing prescription drug abuse. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtags #21YET? or #POPPOSITIVITYNOTPILLS in their video or image. Entries are due no later than Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:59 pm.
One PSA winner and one billboard winner will be selected. Each winner will receive a prize of $200 and the winning entries will be featured on Safe Communities communications throughout Somerset County. About the Safe Communities Coalition
The Safe Communities Coalition of Somerset County meets every third Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Raritan Valley Community College. Anyone interested in helping to reduce and prevent substance abuse in Somerset County is welcomed to attend. The goal of the Safe Communities Coalition is to foster a safe and healthy community by eliminating drug use, underage drinking and prescription drug abuse.
