Drive-Thru Flu Clinic Oct. 31st in HillsboroughPosted on October 26, 2015
Flu season is in full swing, but there’s still time to get your flu shot.
Somerset County Freeholder Peter S. Palmer invites adult residents to take advantage of a flu-shot clinic Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Somerset County South County Public Works Garage, 410 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
The cost is $5 for the general public and free for emergency and first responders who have proper identification.
While it’s not possible to predict what this flu season will be like, adults age 18 and older, and especially first responders, are urged to protect themselves against the main flu viruses that may be circulating this season by getting a flu shot.
“I hope residents will take advantage of this drive-thru flu clinic, said Freeholder Peter S. Palmer, public health & safety liaison. “Many people are going to be out and about anyway getting ready for Halloween activities, so why not get a vaccination while comfortably remaining in your car?”
Flu symptoms can include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle and body aches that can affect you for days or weeks. Additionally, some people can develop complications from the flu which could be life-threatening and result in death.
