Carrier Clinic Walk of Hope Sept. 21

Posted on August 2, 2019

Hackensack Meridian Health Carrier Clinic will host its annual Walk of Hope & Awareness Day on Saturday, Sept. 21, in support of Carrier’s many programs to treat mental illness and drug addiction. The public is invited to take part in this special day of inspiration.

“Carrier’s Walk of Hope and Awareness has been responsible for raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund key therapies that assist at-risk patients from New Jersey and beyond,” said Donald J. Parker, president of Carrier Clinic. “Carrier’s mission has never been more important than it is today. Suicide rates are escalating across our nation and the scourge of opioid drugs is taking more lives and tearing apart families. Please walk to aid Carrier in this important cause.”

To donate or register online visit the Walk of Hope’s official website at or call 908-281-1615 for details. Sign-in for walkers opens at 9 a.m. The 1-mile walk around the Carrier campus begins at 10 a.m.

Walkers are invited to bring their dogs so long as those pets are on a leash and are vaccinated. Individual participants are urged to aim high and raise more than $109 (one dollar for every year of Carrier’s existence). Walkers can also form teams, inviting others to join.
