Blue Pomegranate Music & Art June 20Posted on June 17, 2019
Blawenburg Church will again feature local art and music this month, as Blue Pomegranate presents its third and final show of the season on Thursday, June 20.
Four artists will show their crafts, and each of them work with a different art form. Marissa Blossom, from Hopewell New Jersey, is a nature-inspired painter who works primarily in oil pastel. A large portion of her work leans toward the abstract. New Jersey born fine artist Howard Michaels has developed a collection of original vintage Jersey Shore photographs which he individually hand tinted, using photo oils. He is also credited with mixed media images of 1960’s iconic fashion models, and has a music legend series as well. Rob McAllister is the face behind Angry Nimbus Woodcraft. In his small workshop on his Bucks County farm, Rob uses high-voltage electricity and raw lumber to create functional art, décor, lighting, and furniture. Hopewell artist Lynn Ebeling, who showed her oil paintings at Blue Pomegranate in April, returns this month, this time with her beautiful handwoven baskets.
The musical group, The Woe Nellies will take the stage that evening. The group is composed of five women, all of whom strum the ukulele and sing.
Doors open at 7:00pm in Cook Hall on the Blawenburg Church campus at 424 Route 518. Light refreshments will be served and admission is free, however donations are encouraged and go to support the musicians.
