Health Department Update
RE: COVID-19 Testing
March 20, 2020
As of Friday, March 20, 2020, there are now public testing locations across the state. The below testing site is open to New Jersey residents with serious symptoms only.
Any drive-thru community-based testing sites are for symptomatic individuals:
– Fever of 99.6 F
– Respiratory symptoms or shortness of breath
– If you have a prescription for testing, please bring it with you
Do not take fever-reducing medicine prior to testing for at least 6 hours prior to arrival.
If you have no symptoms, you WILL BE turned away.
Expect crowds, traffic, and chaos at these testing sites.
Testing will occur only as supplies are available. Once they are out of supplies for the day, site will close.
Current Available Testing Sites: 8:00am – 4:00pm, 7 days a week (based on availability of supplies)
- Bergen County Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ
Somerset County is exploring options to develop a COVID-19 testing site, once they are able to secure test kits and much needed personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff. Same eligibility criteria as above will apply to the Somerset County testing site as well.
We want to thank the many first responders, state and local government officials and community volunteers who are working tirelessly with us behind the scenes to help keep our community safe.
Take care of one another. We are all in this together.
