VHHS was founded to preserve the heritage of the Montgomery Twp. area and to interpret the area’s history through educational programs, publications, and exhibits. VHHS believes that by educating our people about our rich history, we create a stronger sense of community. As advocates for preservation of sites and settings, we also help the town make better decisions regarding development. We maintain the Dirck Gulick House, built circa 1752, the Bedensville Schoolhouse on the property of Orchard Hill Elementary School and the Society’s Farm Museum, currently located on Montgomery Road behind the 1860s House.
