Montgomery Friends of Open Space is pleased to announce a special outdoor art event for plein air painters and observers. The event is hosted by Stonebridge at Montgomery and will benefit Montgomery Friends.
Artists are invited to come to the preserved lands around the 1860 House and Stonebridge and spend the day painting outdoors. Hikers and art lovers are invited to walk the beautiful trails and observe the artists throughout the day as they create their works. In the late afternoon, artists and public are invited to a wine and cheese reception and silent auction inside the Stonebridge club house. A portion of the art sales will benefit Montgomery Friends of Open Space.
Observers are invited to walk the trails throughout the day, with a guided hike from 3-4pm leaving from the 1860 House parking lot. An art workshop for kids is planned in the afternoon at the 1860 House as well. The public is invited and encouraged to support Montgomery Friends of Open Space by walking the trails and buying the art at the silent auction.
Well-known local artists Charles McVicker and Lucy Graves McVicker will be participating. Student artists are welcome. Artists are invited to participate free of charge, but are asked to register ahead of time by sending an email to Marty Elliott Pratt firstname.lastname@example.org.
